After studying a BA in Arts (Fine Arts Major) and a BA in Design (Advertising Major) at Curtin University in Perth, I found myself drawn to both the world of fine art and the challenges of creative corporate problem-solving. My artwork began attracting collectors from across Australia and beyond, while my creative and design quickly found a place in business. Starting out in Perth’s most creatively driven ad agencies, I discovered a love for turning ideas into impactful campaigns, and over time, established myself as a creative thinker, designer, and copywriter who thrives on bringing concepts to life.

Designed and executed rebrands, campaigns, and packaging for a wide range of clients, from international toy brands to national building industry leaders and vehicle dealerships.

2009 - 2020 - Head of Design & Creative, The White Room Advertising Agency (Perth)
Head of Design & Creative duties included overseeing all creative and design executions to implementation. Designing and creating whilst leading art directors, designers and writers to exceptional standards of work and critical timelines.   • Key creative achievements:

    • Winning a competitive pitch to secure the prized AFL West Coast Eagles account in only The White Room’s second year of operation. The key undertaking for the client was to develop our new signature campaign line for them - ‘We’re Inspired’ - that could be adopted by the members, key stakeholders and fans. A full new brand style guide supporting this was also developed.

    • Securing the accounts of many successful Perth new home builders over the years, including Summit Homes, Smart Homes for Living, New Generation Homes, Highbury Homes Group and Ross North Homes. Work for these clients included rebrands, designing brochures, signage, websites, social media, cinema and TV commercials.

    • Create a successful Workforce Brand campaign for St John of God Hospital Subiaco that secured record applications from prospective employees. Early use of innovative social technology across the hospital grounds.

    • Create campaigns for Ross North Homes that included cricketer Adam Gilchrist as Brand Ambassador. 

    • Create world-class design, creative and social media for local and national clients including the AMA (WA), Woodside, Willie Creek Pearls, Toyota Australia, Lexus of Perth, James Hardie, SKG Radiology and the International School of WA.

  • 2006 - 2007 DESIGNER & ART DIRECTOR, RARE AGENCY

    • Designer and Art Director duties included art and design for clients from creation through to production and implementation whilst adhering to strict timelines.

    Key creative achievements:

    • Helped develop the highly regarded WA’s Working campaign in order to entice workers from the eastern states to take up positions in WA.

    • Helped develop the successful Stay Off The Tracks campaign.

    DESIGNER & ART DIRECTOR, BELL BOOTH ADVERTISING (BBAM) AGENCY

    • Designer and Art Director duties included art and design for clients from creation through to production and implementation whilst adhering to strict timelines.

    Key creative achievements:

    • Developed the highly successful Dunsborough Estate campaign featuring cricketer Brendon Julian in order to entice those considering moving to Dunsborough to consider the new estate, not just Old Dunsborough.

    • Developed successful campaigns for Ashley & Martin, Tradelink and various homebuilders.

Hobbies

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my wife, three kids, two cats, and our Staffy. I’m drawn to art galleries, the beach, off-road adventures in my 4WD, singing in a band and finding time to stay active.
